We focus on developing skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game, all in a fun and supportive environment. With friendly coaches and tailored sessions, we help every child reach their potential while building teamwork and sportsmanship on and off the court.** We structure our group coaching by school year groups to ensure that tennis is taught using the correct balls, rackets and on court sizes that are suitable for the age of the player. From 10/11 years upwards we use a full sized 'adult' court with regular hard tennis balls. These age groups are fixed for all levels within each group however, we run specific classes for more advanced level players. Our development programme is perfect for young players taking their first steps onto the tennis court. Designed for beginners and those looking to build a strong foundation, this programme follows the LTA Youth framework, ensuring a fun, age-appropriate, and engaging experience for every child. Through a mix of games, drills, and activities, we help kids develop key skills like balance, coordination, and racket control while introducing them to the basics of tennis techniques and tactics. Whether they’re just picking up a racket for the first time or learning to rally, our expert coaches will guide them with patience and enthusiasm. The goal? Led by our experienced coach, Academy sessions include intensive drills, advanced doubles and singles tactics, and mental preparation to excel under pressure. Rob brings a wealth of experience to Go Tennis, having coached players of all ages and abilities – from complete beginners to advanced juniors – across clubs, schools and performance centres. As a player, Rob competed nationally as a junior, was a key member of the county junior squad, and went on to represent the men’s county team – a level he still competes at today. Rob’s coaching style is calm, supportive and confidence-building. Whether you're picking up a racket for the first time or chasing performance goals, Rob’s focus is on helping every player enjoy their time on court and unlock their potential. **Loves**: Slice backhands, coaching in the sunshine, and seeing players have that ‘lightbulb moment’ on court. **Dislikes**: Broken strings, soggy tennis balls, and when the sun’s in his toss. Former tennis pro and TV presenter turned coach, Dan brings serious skills, expert coaching, and an uncomparible experience to Go Tennis—just don’t expect too much enthusiasm before his morning coffee. Whatever your level, he’ll have you hitting winners (and probably laughing) in no time… once he’s fully awake. **Loves**: A perfectly timed drop shot and a strong espresso. Fresh back from Australia and always bringing the sunshine with him, Dillon is currently working towards his Level 3 coaching qualififcation. Smiley, upbeat, and full of energy, Dillon has a natural way with both kids and adults, making every session positive, encouraging, and fun. Coaching is very much in the family – Dillon is the son of our Director of Tennis, Rob Norris – but he’s carving out his own path and making his own mark, both on the tennis court and the pickleball court, where he loves to coach and play. **Loves:** Sunshine, pickleball, and seeing players leave court with a smile. Jamie is full of energy, enthusiasm, and has a natural ability to connect with children of all ages. Currently completing his LTA Level 1 coaching qualification, Jamie brings great presence and positivity to every session, whether it’s a school programme, or a busy holiday camp. When he’s not coaching or studying at college, Jamie also plays rugby and enjoys being part of the wider club community. **Dislikes:** Rainy Mondays, losing the rugby ball, and forgetting his water bottle Noah might be only 15, but you’d never guess it. A natural on court, he’s already a gifted player and coach, volunteering on Saturdays and working at our camps with a knack for keeping kids engaged (and actually listening!). We can’t wait to support him on his journey to getting his Level 1 when he turns 16. Watch this space—Noah’s just getting started! **Loves:** Tennis, coaching, and being mistaken for an adult. **Dislikes:** Waiting until 16 for his Level 1, kids who don’t pick up the balls, and double faults. She had such a great time at camp and cannot wait to do it again. Love for tennis back on! I started out as a complete beginner and Dillion has been a fantastic coach. He’s so encouraging and I can already see my skills improving! We have gone back to basics but in a motivating way, every session feels enjoyable and I can really see my progress on court. I would highly recommend Rob as a tennis coach My children started tennis lessons with Dillon during the summer and have come on really well, playing some great tennis shots now. We focus on developing skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game, all in a fun and supportive environment. We structure our group coaching by both age and ability so players develop at the right pace and get the coaching they need. Ideal for players transitioning from Orange Ball, Green Ball sessions focus on refining skills, improving consistency, and starting to apply tactics in a more match-like setting. For players ready to improve their technique and match play, Yellow Ball coaching focuses on building confidence and consistency, while introducing more advanced strategies. Following the success of our summer match play events, we’re excited to launch **regular Thursday night sessions for juniors aged 10 and over**. These 90-minute sessions are perfect for players who are starting to compete, or those not quite ready for official tournaments but keen to gain more match experience. Each week, juniors will play a mix of singles and doubles in a fun, competitive format, with **a coach** on hand to offer advice, guidance, and tips along the way.
